At the recent EIT FOOD “Sowing the Seeds of Innovation” event, industry leaders and policy officials engaged in discussions on advancing agri-food technologies.
The event highlighted smart agriculture and the need to interpret data for informed decisions. Discussions covered AgriTech Innovation, Heraklion’s UNESCO acknowledgment, and the call for businesses to embrace innovation.Adding a significant perspective to the dialogue on Agritech innovation, Vlasios Tsezos, CEO of Agritrack took part in the dedicated panel coordinated by Prof. Spyro Founda alongside Smart Agro Hub CEO Mr. Hatzipapadopoulos and Mr. Tsesmeli from Neuropulic. The panel addressed Smart Agriculture challenges, emphasizing the complexity of the supply chain, data security, and the need for standardized data insights. It is worth noting that the Minister of Agricultural Development and Food, Mr. Lefteris Avgenakis intervened to further illuminate challenges and opportunities in agritech. The event showcased a collaborative spirit driving innovation in the agri-food sector.
